Metal Postcard Record - Debut New Album " Louis Inglis "

My name is Louis (loo-wee) Inglis. I write and record music at home surrounded by animals and friendly robots. I spend all my days digging for treasure in the garden and making furniture from long dead pets. I taught myself to half-play musical instruments as a homespun treatment for my crippling autism and I record my music live into a broken cassette deck. I hate children and simply cannot choose a favourite colour.

Steady On  From “Dark Days Ahead” Appears in the recent Australian feature film "The Toll" directed by Zak Hilditch.
The Toll, directed by Zak Hilditch, produced by Antony Webb and Zak Hilditch, includies in the cast Steve McCall and Nick Britton,

The film follows Steve and his best mate Nick, who embark on a journey to the Western Australian town of Denmark. Following a tip off, they go in search of the buried fortune of a recently deceased farmer. Armed with what they believe to be the map to the supposed fortune, the pair quickly bite off more than they can chew as their forest setting closes in on them, testing their resolve and their friendship.

Inglis has also done a lot of music for his brother Henrys' short films over the years. Recently for his show "Henry and Aarons Perfectly Adequate Web Series" which just won the Australian national "Movie extra webfest" competition.

Inglis was the support act for Caribou when they last toured  Australia.

This guy's a dab hand at subtly layering and combining sounds to transport you to wistful childhood days where cares were few and pleasures simple. Don't even know if that's what it's about but it takes me to a very nice place. 'Sleepyhead' is a beaut too. Congrats Louis.

Kudos Louis! This is a fantastic tune. I love how the dynamics of this song slowly build up throughout and new instruments are introduced at just the right moment. The melodies are wistful and incandescent. It's just an excellent, well-rounded song.
